More from Mike and Baby Bobby

We're continuing to share Mike's posts from his visit to South Africa and HOLAH...
"So, the little dude is still in hospital, we've been calling him Baby Bobby. He is currently suffering from drug withdrawals as well as trying to get over his infections & scabies. Sadly the hospitals here aren't great, but we're fighting for him. The hospitals don't have towels, pillows, cutlery etc. & if we are not there to help they just put his milk/food next to him (like a 6 month old is going to somehow feed & change himself!! πŸ˜‘) he's a strong little boy & a fighter so we have high hopes for him. His sister, who we think is maybe 7 is getting on really well, she's happy & playful & very inquisitive. It's like she's never seen a bath or shower before. Earlier today she looked at a pedal bin in the hospital like it was some alien invention. Sadly she has most likely suffered many forms of abuse, but she is settling in very well with us, she's even learning some English words. We are hoping to get her in to school next week, just need to get the money together. She is a true princess Today has been another roller coaster day in the hospitals, but onwards & upwards"

"There's been more sadness with our work today. The things I see & hear over here are like the worst horror film you could ever imagine..... but there's also been good today; Baby Bobi πŸ‘ΆπŸΎ has been discharged from hospital & has just been reunited with his sister. Their story is shocking & sickening & I will write a proper story about it soon, but for now let's concentrate on the good. He's on the mend & home with us safe & sound. Their future will now be completely different, full of love & happiness. I'm so glad I could play a part in this.
If anyone wants to help with any kind of donation to ensure we can continue to help these 2 beauties & the many many more like them please follow the link or get in contact with us. Peace & love"

"I've had Man Flu the last few days; all the time rushing around hospitals, the street & police stations has caught up with me. So I'm having a morning of medication & sun bathing. But our babies are getting well & home with us safe & sound, off the streets & out of hospital. The horrors I've seen will live with me forever, but knowing they are safe now makes it so worthwhile. The happiness out ways the sadness..... but sadly it never stops; babies being abandoned on the streets, toddlers & children being raped, kids dying while waiting to be seen in hospital. Supporting a rape victim half the age of my daughter & helping a baby of 6 months come down from drug withdrawals makes me sick & angry, but it's reality. You can help get these babies & kids the support they need for a positive future. The UK pound is so strong in comparison to the South African Rand, even £1 makes a difference here. I know the UK has its own problems, but they also have one of the richest governments in the would. Here is not the same. I've watched hundreds of families every day get rubbish out the bin for food, licking the insides of crisp packets for crumbs & lying & dying in the street. "
